This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. Interviews were conducted with caregivers, heads of institutions, and teachers. All interviews are recorded and then transcripts of interview results are provided. Data analysis uses 3 stages: data reduction, data display, and drawing/verifying data conclusions. This study found that the Bumi Damai Foundation in implementing a strategy to foster pluralism awareness through Islamic Education implements several programs, namely: the tahfidz program with emphasis on memorization of the context of pluralism contained in the Qur’an, Da’wah Al-Muhibbin studying several areas from different cultures and religions, applying the motto Hubbul Wathon Minal Iman, visits and social services in several non-Muslim places of worship, and emphasized memorizing and deepening the contents of Asmaul Husna. This research contributes to scarcity studies that uncover strategies and methods for cultivating awareness of pluralism within Social Welfare Institutions. Similar research is appropriate to uncover strategies of Islamic forms of education used to foster awareness of pluralism in social institutions.
Muhammad Iqbal Nashrullah Nur Kholis Siti Mukaromah Kunawi Basyir Copyright (c) 2023 Muhammad Iqbal Nashrullah, Nur Kholis, Siti Mukaromah, Kunawi Basyir https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 11 2 1 20 10.30762/didaktika.v11i2.3390 Peace Education of the Sarung-Wearing Community: NU Kyai’s Efforts in Managing Interfaith Diversity through Alternative Education https://jurnalpascasarjana.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/didaktika/article/view/3394
This article analyzes the pivotal role played by Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), an Islamic organization in Indonesia, in embracing religious and cultural diversity through alternative education. It is developmental research with a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative design) covering three phases of development: pre-development, development, and dissemination. This model consists of (1) a guide for the evaluation model, and (2) the instrument for the evaluation model in the forms of questionnaires, observation sheets, and questionnaires for self-evaluation. The instrument validity of the evaluation model consisting of questionnaires, observation sheets, and questionnaires for self-evaluation was determined by expert judgment while its reliability was decided using the Alpha Cronbach. Instrument validity consisting of questionnaires, observation sheets, and questionnaires of self-evaluation is a construct validity determined using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor analysis (CFA), while its reliability was decided using Alpha Cronbach. The results showed that the components of the evaluation model of the Affective Aspect for IRE (AEIRE) consist of Input, Process, and Output. All instruments of the model show a good fit. The model is effective enough for madrasahs aliyah and pondok pesantrens. According to the teachers of IRE, the guide for the use of the model is very good.
Iskandar Tsani Copyright (c) 2023 Iskandar Tsani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 11 2 41 60 10.30762/didaktika.v11i2.3382 Family as a Social Influence Manager in Determining the Lifestyle of Students in the Campus Environment https://jurnalpascasarjana.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/didaktika/article/view/3425
This article aims to explore the role of the family in the realization of student lifestyle on the campuses of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, and IAIN Kediri. The village community is a society with a very high level of plurality; various religious cultures and feelings exist in the village. However, harmony and mutual respect are evident in everyday life. Differences are not a reason for the village community to be hostile to each other, but differences are considered wealth to be grateful for. So, in some ways, the village community carries out activities and life together regardless of the differences that exist. The approach used in this study is qualitative. The paradigm is phenomenological or interpretive. A qualitative approach is a paradigm of Natural Research, which is to find a theory by pulling it from the beginning of nature, that is, from data that comes from the real world. The researchers took the research location in Kedungrejo Village, Rowokangkung district, Lumajang Regency. The results of this study show that all religions tend to have claims of absolutism, whether Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, or Judaism. Claims of monotheism that are particularist-subjective will impact inter-religious conflict, and the competition will be heightened if several strong and particularistic religious organizations coexist.
Subakri Subakri Saihan Saihan Copyright (c) 2023 Subakri Subakri, Saihan Saihan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 11 2 143 166 10.30762/didaktika.v11i2.3371 Policy Challenges for Campus Teaching Programs in Non-Educational Study Programs https://jurnalpascasarjana.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/didaktika/article/view/3424
The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the challenges faced by non-educational study programs in sending their students to take part in the Kampus Mangajar program as one of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy programs. This research uses a descriptive approach with qualitative research methods. The data collection techniques used in this research were in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The selection of informants was carried out using the purposive sampling technique or sampling theory. Research findings show that there are two challenges, namely administrative challenges, and technical challenges. The administrative challenge is that universities must take their policies in implementing MBKM following their financial conditions and capabilities. The challenges faced in implementing the Teaching Campus MBKM program include limited funds, especially from students, and the academic information system to facilitate activities is still inadequate. lack of information regarding the technical implementation of the MBKM program. Among the challenges described, several similar challenges are found in many universities, namely: funding, academic systems, quality, and productivity of human resources. Technical challenges in Kampus Mengajar programs include issues of communication competence in teaching, challenges of literacy skills as well and mental attitude as something fundamental in learning activities.
Arie Ambarwati Ika Devy Pramudiana Copyright (c) 2023 Arie Ambarwati, Ika Devy Pramudiana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 11 2 167 186 10.30762/didaktika.v11i2.3424 The Influence of Supervisor Understanding on IRE Teacher Performance in State JHS in Bone Regency https://jurnalpascasarjana.iainkediri.ac.id/index.php/didaktika/article/view/3439
The purpose of the study is to analyze the ability of the supervisor to understand the Islamic Religion Education (IRE) learning process of State Junior High School (State JHS) in Bone Regency, teacher’s performance, and the influence between these two. The religious behavior of the Temboro community is the result of the insertion of character education values based on the interpretation of Quranic texts (living qur’an) formed through acculturation. Temboro Village is dubbed as “Kampung Madinah” which has a culture similar to Madinah City in terms of dress, religious rituals and social ethics. With a qualitative method using an anthropological approach, this article is a living Qur’an research that defines character education values into the socio-religious and cultural practices of the Temboro community using reception theory, this research produces findings; first, the insertion of character education that shapes the socio-religious behavior of the Temboro community is adapted from the informal rules of kiai in Pesantren Al-Fatah Temboro. Character education in pesantren is socially constructed hidden in the community through acculturation to the recitation tradition, social ethics and daily habits. Second, the behavior and social religious attitudes of the Temboro community follow the interpretation of the Qur’anic text received from divine and human values. These values are controlled by religious authority and local wisdom.
M. Dimyati Huda Zaenatul Hakamah Copyright (c) 2023 M.
